My engagement sessions often tend to start out like a date.

A blind date.

I told John and Kelly what type of car I drive and to meet me in the parking lot of a random Carl’s Jr. because it is nearby to something “cool”. I am fairly certain that this is the point where they questioned my sanity and hoped for a miracle that maybe, just maybe, I have not lost ALL of my marbles. Or if I did lose them, that I am in an level room and will have time to regather them prior to their engagement session.

We drove somewhat aimlessly toward the spot I had scouted, only to realize the road was flooded from the crazy storms last week (which I did not approve of, by the way).

“Are you game to get wet?”, I ask with a vision beginning to form in my mind. And the fun commenced….

John and Kelly are both beautiful people inside and out. Their love for one another is so effortless and candid that it brings an ease to anyone around them. There are couples that are two distinct individuals who make things work together, and then there are couples like John and Kelly who seem to move about this earth in a parallel union that brings with it a calm and peace. Shooting their session was like witnessing the power of love at its finest.

J&K, I am so excited for your big day. A huge huge huge thanks for being so fabulous!!!

xoxo,
