They met on Valentine’s Day.  No joke.

If that does not signify the definition of “Meant to Be” or “This could be a plot for a romantic comedy”, I do not know what does.

Tony and Abbey have a love that is so apparent simply from the way they look at one another.  Tony exudes a quiet confidence and Abbey a captivating charm that amount to a match that time only strengthens.  Their day was filled to the brim with love, joy, and laughter.  Happy tears were shed, donuts were consumed, and shoes were danced off!

They got married at the St. Regis in San Francisco with the sun coming out in full force!  SF has never been so nice in September…. The day was flawlessly and exquisitely executed by one of my absolute favorites, Kathryn of Dream a Little Dream Events.  She is the icing to my cake when it comes to weddings.

Tony and Abbey- thank you so much for including Blaine and I in your big day!  You both are beautiful people on the inside an out!</div>

Five years ago today, I married the most amazing man (although I should clarify the fact that we were practically children back then).

Every single day, I am so thankful that Blaine came into my life. And that he asked me to be his bride. And that I said yes.

Spending life affixed and entwined with someone who makes me laugh and smile every single day is the most enormous blessing I could have ever conjured up. To this day he is the first thing I think of when I wake up and the last thing I think of before I fall asleep (and not just because he is approximately 1.5 feet away from me). We love madly, dance often, and still cuddle….. when the AC is on:)

Just a few reasons why I madly love my husband (in no particular order):

-He takes out the trash.
-He loves to dance.
-He loves to dance with me.
-He likes to be ninja-fied.
-He cooks.
-Did I mention he cooks?
-He makes me laugh.
-He gets me Diet Cokes when I most need them, which is basically all the time.
-He sings “Shaggy” songs at Karaoke because I ask him to do so.
-He had a mullet as a child. And rocked it.
-He loves our dog child.
-He loves camping. And America.
-Did I mention he loves America?
-He doesn’t pressure me TOOOO much to make babies.
-He let’s me take pictures of his butt when we ride our tandem bicycle.
-He likes to ride on a tandem bicycle.
-He supports my crazy decisions. Like having a floor made of pennies in the bathroom (which is going to be AWESOME by the way).
-He’s hot.
-He’s a hard worker.
-He loves me.
-He’s my pool boy, and often dresses the part.

I love you Blaine! Thanks for making me the luckiest lady alive!

Love,
Wife

P.S. In case you are curious, this photo was taken on an iPhone at a Doug E Fresh concert. Epic, right?

Wyatt and Rachel are two of the kindest, most humble, and beautiful people (on the inside and out) that I have ever gotten the pleasure of working with…. and three days before their wedding I did not even know that they existed.

Fate sometimes has a subtle and yet very profound way of shaping our journey in life. Halfway around the world when they least expected it, Wyatt and Rachel met. Little did they know that their profound love for rowing would not only bring about Gold Medals in the Olympics…. but everlasting love.

The photographer Wyatt and Rachel hired incurred an injury which, in wedding time, was mere moments before the big day. Being that I blocked the weekend off to celebrate Blaine’s and my fifth anniversary, I seemed to be the only photographer that happened to be available to “pinch hit” in the eleventh hour. I plead Blaine’s forgiveness, bought him tickets to a Cal football game, and took off to the Seymour Marine Discovery Center in Santa Cruz. Fate brought Wyatt and Rachel together, and I honestly believe it also brought them to me. It was such an honor being part of their big day, and I could not believe how calm and collected they were with the change in plans.

Rachel is the embodiment of grace, glass, and beauty (hello, doesn’t she look she could be the love child of January Jones and Blake Lively?), and Wyatt is a strong and caring force that compliments Rachel perfectly. Their day was absolutely perfect, and the evening was capped off by my FAVORITE band, Suite Love Express. Brides, seriously…. if you want a party, these are the folks you need to call! And I feel qualified to make that statement given my extreme skills on the dance floor.

Wyatt and Rachel, thank you for welcoming me to your big day and for making it so enjoyable! I hope these photos enable you to relive the joy of that day for years to come!
